Artist’s statement:

The beauty of making art is the space in the mind, which it occupies. So much of our thinking is associated with emotionalism, which comes at a cost of energy.
When the mind is engaged in the creative process, the thinking involved is of a deferent order. There is playfulness, detachment, objectivity, in the discovery and exploration of the interior world. In this space, there is a refuge from the mundane consideration of the ego self.

The area of abstract representation allows the mind to freely associate ideas from the internal world, the world of mind and spirit, with the external reality - the world of the senses and the interaction with nature.
The images are of a very personal nature and become a language for the artist to explore himself, and his relationship with the divine.

My art is an attempt to discover a way of expressing the positive nature of life, be it through colour, light or image. In what is essentially a subjective search, of trial and error. If there is an intellectual interpretation of my work, it is imposed later by whatever mind views the results.
